About the Class
Hair removal is one of the fastest-growing services in the salon and spa industry. People of all ages and genders are frequently requesting these types of service. This course reviews the basics of hair structure, types, and the growth of hair. It also covers the importance of the care of the skin from which the hair grows. Included is the importance and purpose of a thorough client consultation and infection control. The course concludes with the steps and demonstration of the traditional hair removal service known as waxing.

About the Instructor - Kathy Maxwell
KATHY MAXWELL has been a licensed Aesthetician in Minnesota for over 20 years. She has her Advanced Esthetics license as of 2019. Her certifications include advanced chemical peels, kobido massage, face and neck lymphatic massage, Gua Sha, dermaplaning, and reiki healing level one and two. She has a degree in Graphic arts, Bachelor of Science in Nutrition, a Marketing degree and her Aesthetics training from Aveda. Kathy became the Minnesota certified instructor for dermaplaning in 2016. She has worked at Fusion Life Spa in Deephaven, MN for the last 14 years, and now is their lead educator. Kathy was previously in private practice from 2002 working in St Paul and Minneapolis under the name of kmskincaresolutions.
