March 13, 2020

Dear DermaConnect - Ingredients Exposed with Terri Wojak Registrants,

The Salon and Spa Professional Association is made the difficult decision to reschedule the March 22 DermaConnect event to June 14, 2020.

After discussion with our speaker Terri Wojak we are taking the steps we feel necessary to protect you.  The Governnor of Minnesota has said that events with attendees over 250 should be cancelled. Even though DermaConnect would be about 60 people we determined that it should be rescheduled and that the measures the government is taking at this time warrants this decision.

Everyone who is already registered will automatically be moved to the new date (If that date does not work for you please call us at 952-925-9731 to discuss your options).

We want to encourage you to follow protective measures to protect you and your staff by following the guideline of the CDC and WHO.

1. Know the signs and symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, cough, shortness of breath - these symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure.)
2. Have a plan of what to do if clients or staff are symptomatic.
3. Review and update emergency operations plan or develop a plan if one is not available. (e.g., stay home when sick, follow handwashing, cleaning and disinfecting procedures).
4. Encourage staff to use personal protective equipment and follow infection control measures.
5. Clean frequently touched surfaces regularly.
6. Ensure hand hygiene supplies are readily available.

Our top concern is the health and wellness of our licensees, their clients, our educators and staff. We thank you for your understanding and look forward to seeing you on June 14th at the Crowne Plaza AiRE, Bloomington, MN!

Professionally yours,

Susan Brinkhaus, CAE                                               Judy Garcia
