About the Class
This class is designed to help you achieve consistent results every time you do a color service. You will be able to identify which techniques are needed to achieve specific results based on universal principles that will never change. We will review undertones, levels, hair structure, texture and density. We will spend time creating and reviewing our universal tool, the color wheel, as well as how to choose colors, and how to place them in the hair to get a perfect and consistent result.
About the Educator - Katherine Martin
 Katherine Martin has more than 40 years of experience in the professional personal care industry including:
- Managing salons and spas, a salon owner-entrepreneur,
- Technical educator and platform artist for a leading professional product manufacturer- distributor,
- Teaching vocational cosmetology for two leading cosmetology schools,
- Being part of the Research and Development / Regulatory team for the Estee Lauder Company-Aveda.
Katherine has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Northwestern, St. Paul, in Business Management, Master Project Manager certification, Licensed Cosmetology Instructor-State of MN, and Master Stylist. She likes to organize and educate, create processes, and develop efficiencies. She looks forward to utilizing her creative talent and innovation to assist the salon spa professional with education, business support, advocacy, and resources.

 Your Educator - Judy Garcia
Judy Garcia is a licensed Advanced Practice Esthetician, a C.I.D.E.S.C.O. Diplomaté, and AIE Certified Clinical Aesthetician. She is a former salon owner and adjunct instructor for Ridgewater College where she taught an advanced esthetic certificate program for three years. Judy has worked as a freelance esthetics educator and skin care product sales representative and has more than 38 years of experience in the professional beauty industry. She has traveled throughout the United States, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Korea, and Canada teaching advanced aesthetics classes to aestheticians, cosmetologists, and medical professionals. Judy spent two and half years training with dermatologist Dr. James E. Fulton co-developer of Retin-A. Judy is the Salon and Spa Professional Associations Education Coordinator and the developer of the CORE continuing education program at SSPA where she has become an expert on infection control.
