About the Class Waxing is more than just putting a hair removal product on the skin and then taking it off. Upon completion of this course licensees will have a thorough knowledge of hair growth and various methods of hair removal. Licensee will learn proper room/area setup and infection control. They will learn client consultation, contraindications and pre and post care procedures. Licensees will learn the step-by-step method of hair removal for the face and body. And will learn to utilize both hard and soft wax products effectively through demonstration and hands-on. Instructors will learn how to teach a professional hair removal course and will be able to teach the course to their students.
About the Instructor - JUDY GARCIA JUDY GARCIA has worked in the aesthetics field for over 30 years as a practicing aesthetician and educator. Since 1992 she has traveled throughout the United States and Asia teaching advanced skin care to licensed cosmetologists, aestheticians, and medical personnel. Judy is an American trained esthetician and holds a C.I.D.E.S.C.O. Diplomate', an international aesthetics certification credential. She spent two years working with Dr. James Fulton (acne specialist) and trained in depilatory waxing method of hair removal in Paris, France. Judy continues to share her aesthetic expertise with other licensed professionals through education at her skin care studio, at cosmetology schools, salons and as a guest lecturer. She was an adjunct professor at Ridgewater College teaching the advanced esthetics course and is a contributing writer to the latest aesthetics textbook published by Milady Publishing. Judy maintains a manager aesthetic license and a nail technician license.
